Year 3's Vege Taste Test

As part of their Living and Non-living Science Unit in term 1, the Year 3’s planted cucumber and lettuce seeds in the schools’ fruit and vegetable garden. Over the course of the term, the classes took turns to water and watch the plants as they grew. This week, the students had lots of fun picking the veggies to taste and eat. The consensus was that the cucumbers were very sweet and juicy. Sadly, the lettuce was not received as well, with the best student quote going to Joseph in 3A “The cucumber tasted like heaven, but the lettuce was very bitter.”
